Physics Faculty

The school aims to provide basic courses on modern topics in high-energy theory, from QFT to M-theory. The school celebrates newly established research groups in Yerevan and intends to become a regular school for national, regional, and international students in the coming years.

The host institutions are Yerevan State University and the National Scientific Laboratory after Alikhanyan, the former Yerevan Physics Institute, known for its rich traditions in High-Energy Physics.

The school will be a fusion of general introductory courses of some relatively established disciplines, such as String Theory, Solitons, Supergravity, Black Holes and Quantum Information, AdS/CFT and Higher-Spins, 2d CFT and N=2 Gauge Theories, as well as an exploration of modern topics like Asymptotic Symmetries, Amplitudes and Double-Copy, more mathematically inclined topics of Dual Pair Correspondence (Howe duality) and M-theory compactifications.

The school is targeting well-prepared Master’s students, PhD students, and young researchers. It can also be useful for more senior researchers who want to familiarize themselves with new topics.

The School will be held from August 3 to August 13, 2025, at Yerevan State University. Registration opens on April 28, 2025 and will remain open until June 30. Limited financial support is available to help reduce the registration fee. Priority will be given to early applicants — the early bird deadline is May 30.  Details and registration form can be found here.
